Lines were cast off last night at 9 pm, as
we left Warnemunde for our next destination, Estonia. Today will be an at sea
day, as we do not expect to arrive at Tallinn until 10 am tomorrow.
Clocks get wound forward one hour today and
combined with a sleep in, resulted in us missing breakfast, along with quite a
few others who also got caught out.
It is a lovely day at sea, with little
swell, about 15-20 knots of breeze, and bright sunny skies. It is quite warm,
even hot if you spent too much time out on the deck.
We had a lazy day, going to a lecture on
understanding Russia this afternoon, and generally wandering around still
getting to know the ship.
It is a formal night for dinner tonight so
it will be interesting to see how dressed up everyone gets. The Americans often
go over te top, but the Aussies and Canadians normally are more casual. It
turned out to be a real mix with about half of the people not overdoing it and
dressing more like smart casual. Others were in tuxedos and suits with ties.
After dinner we went and listened to an
entertainer in the piano bar who was doing a tribute to Neil Diamond. He did a
great job keeping the packed bar entertained.
